Like most fashion-obsessed women, I've always used celebrity style as inspiration for my everyday looks. While I couldn't take much from the skin-tight body suits and over-embellished fabrics at the 2012 MTV VMAs, I found myself drawn to Taylor Swift's simple, yet bold nautical red/white tee paired with black hot pants...

...maybe it's because I've always loved and worn this color palette in fall or maybe it's because it wasn't a dress awkwardly paired with tall cowboy boots. Either way, the lanky blonde with mediocre singing talent inspired the hell out of me so I thought I'd share a few looks I styled based on what she wore for her exceptionally cute Glee-like performance.
