So I'm still down with the Mormon-chic vibe and I think I may have found a reincarnation of this dress that I've never forgotten about:

The Free People Edie dress is serving modest hotness (with a boho flare of course). It looks like the type of Orthodox Mormon garb the traveling cult types would wear in the summer; specifically the prepubescent girls who were a couple years too young to be married--Emma Hale Smith is SHAKING.

They passed with flying colors. I got them in this neutral colorway because they were on sale on the Ugg site, but I really wanted the yellow ones that unfortunately sold out in my size from the Foot Locker site I initially ordered from (why they were still listed I don't even know maybe the stock person was too afraid of c0vid to update the website *eyerolls*). Currently, I wear them with socks, but they are designed for summer with a canvas upper and a super light foamy sole with a memory foam insole (feels like a LITERAL MASSAGE OMG). 

I'm kind of shocked at how Ugg has blazed their way into the sneaker game despite some very stiff competition and I'm definitely eying the ca805--the profile is soooooo '90s Britney, even more so than the triple s:

the fact that they're in PONYHAIR--I need them too badly.

One note is that they are not Ugg boot sizing, they are regular shoe sizing (maybe a bit small because I fit an 11, but I'm truly a 10.5). They also fit narrow even though the canvas upper might still be bearable for wider feet (I have very skinny feet so I wouldn't know). The version of the ca805 shown has been designed for all genders so I assume they may have a wider fit.

I have to be honest, the chunky black boot is rather ubiquitous right now and the more I look at them, either I'm going to really REALLY want a pair or I'm going to be sick of seeing them. For now, I'm compelled to add them to the list as I can appreciate the Britney '99 Billboard performance vibe:

Anyway, as you can see the boots in question feature a thick, stacked rubber sole and just above ankle shaft height. I noticed in the video where these screenshots were taken that the right boot appears to have some sort of applique on it similar to the Prada combat boots that have been seen everywhere. However, I'm not really into the replica-style combat boot and Prada is always so LATE to me, they probably copied her for all I know, she is indeed one of the most influential pop stars in the world.

I prefer clean lines when it comes to boots and with the selections above I'm not leaning towards any type of zipper placement, but the front zip style is the most alluring to me because I've never owned a pair like that. All of them are really good options and it's most likely going to come down to price. As usual, I plan on waiting until the fall/winter sale season kicks off before I make any luxury purchases over $100.

I literally have the biggest sneaker obsession right now, sucks winter is coming soon and I'll have to switch to boots regardless (I'm unfortunately still stuck in the wretched midwest). These are the prettiest triple s sneakers I've seen so far and I'm so tempted to buy them before they sell out...but I said I'd restrain myself until the holiday sales kick in. If only Demna would release a neo classic bag in this color too--that would be LIFE.

Almost a decade ago, I used to run a street style blog documenting the sartorial expressions of others around me. "Style watching", as it's sometimes referred to, has always been a favorite hobby of mine; when I was a kid I remember waiting patently for the dial up to connect just so I could scroll pages dedicated to my favorite celebrity street style icons. Despite the fact that I hate people, I've always loved how fashion made me feel like I was a part of something without having to do more than get dressed. This makes sense considering I've always been more of a spectator of life rather than a participant...that's the world anyway now that people have decided participating in life means they will in fact DIE or KILL SOMEONE.

This photo was taken at an airport months ago, I had to take the opportunity to do an anonymous street style shot since we are required to be mAsKED uP in public and even private places. Her boots are everything and she is really selling me on cowhide. I didn't get it in the shot, but I remember she had a fabulous western style hat on as well. She was doing so much with ease and it really made me smile. Maybe if we weren't brainwashed into thinking socializing is evil, I would have actually approached her and asked for a full photo and details like I used to do instead of this covert act...perhaps this is the "new normal" style watching of the surveillance state we're now living in.

I highkey DID NOT like the first launch of the track sneaker or track 2 at all whatsoever. In fact, I think I felt the same way about them as many people feel about the triple S and its overt ugliness.

I find the triple S to be endlessly comfortable and I don't see it getting phased out of my wardrobe even though I'm far from a sneaker enthusiast. I have been using them to exercise and the slightly weighted feel from the excessive rubber sole really makes me feel like I'm getting an extra kick in my work out like back when Sketchers tried to scam people into thinking their funny shaped shoes were helping flabby women build a better ass as they simply walked around (I think they got sued for making that claim later on if I recall correctly). In contrast, when the track sneaker came out I thought it looked too skeletal? Or maybe just too basic?? I don't even know, I just couldn't get into it even as its popularity was catching fire on instagram. Then these new colorways came out and now I'm like, hmmmm there might be a place for them? Maybe two? The oil slick ones and the light pastel ones are my favorites of these selections and I also like the all pink ones that always seem to be sold out (not pictured). 

I'm still in the market for another pair of the triple S because they remind me too much of one of my staple inspiration vibes: late '90s Britney Spears. However, I feel like I'm getting closer to adding a pair of track sneakers to the list...let's see what the cov*d inflation does to these holiday sale prices though.

Despite all the bags I've featured on here, I have yet to mention the Cholé Daria, it really is one of the coolest bags to come out in recent seasons. Initially, I wasn't too excited about the available styles online because they seemed so bland compared to what I saw on the runway. However, the actual structure of the bag is absolutely spot on; beauty meets functionality. I finally saw a color that caught my attention for obvious reasons, this really is the perfect pastel green much like that Mary-Kate Balencicaga city bag that I STAY being OB-SESSED with, let's compare:

I found this photo complete with the iconic stain, I think this Daria is pretty close to the inspiration and will hopefully be in some sort of c0vid sale this holiday season.

Punchy pinks and metallics to end the summer season and transition seamlessly into fall (btw that MK bag is legit the teeniest, tiniest bag I own and barely fits my phone!).

It better be real this time

I found it on Saks Off Fifth and it's actually an upgrade from the one I was OBSESSED with on Juicy Couture's now probably defunct website (I don't actually know that it's defunct, but I don't want to risk getting a virus checking...I pray for that brand every day ok). Unlike my original selection, it has quilting all the way around (I'm showing the back of the bag in this shot) and includes a front pocket. I'm unsure of how true to life the pink is, but I appreciate the overall design regardless. It's allegedly on the way and after last year's debacle, it better be perfect, I can't have my heart broken all over again.

Chanel who? I don't know her

I'm still not completely sold on the hourglass, but along with the croc version I showed on here previously, this version is another good reason to look into an investment in this uniquely shaped bag. Just the combination of the plush leather quilting with the sharp angles, plus the phantom colorway--it's all too much to handle.

I get why some people don't see it for the brand because Demna really does lowkey recreate the mainstay styles of other popular brands; examples include the cloud clutch, which emulates Bottega's ubiquitous dumpling-looking bag, the ville totes that look like LV almond bags, and the quilted bags are reminiscent of Chanel (well along with pretty much all quilted bags, to be fair). It makes me realize brand loyalty is a thing (as opposed to label whoring) because people really will get upset if they think one brand is more superior than another and is being "ripped off" despite the fact that a trend is a trend no matter who started it. Personally, I don't care for Chanel bags; I've just never found them that exciting, maybe because literally everyone has one because yOU caN't Go WronG with a basic quilted Chanel *basic bitch "influencer" voice*.

I don't know the size of this bag, it looks like a small, but it could be an extra small. I would DIE if it came in that barbie pink I've seen with the city bag and the croc embossed version--if that happened I might have to break the bank and get it before inflation really sets in.

The one I really want is the large pastel pink version I showed on here previously, but the small croc versions are always worthy options and the large phantom colorway is alluring as well, especially because I missed out on the A4 black papier, which I think was discontinued. Of course I'm still on the hunt for an elusive green Mary-Kate inspired Balenciaga city bag in a functional size. The actual color is still in rotation as I have seen both mint and light green in mini and hourglass versions. However, I think if he released a light green colorway in this neo classic form, it would literally complete my liiiiiife.

Honestly, masks are for ugly people...like that dumbass bus driver that TRIED IT telling me to wear one while I was already covering my ENTIRE FACE IN THICK PLASTIC as you can see here (also, I wasn't even getting on his bus, but he had the right to refuse me a ride so he should have just kept rolling instead of attempting to argue with me as I quickly grabbed a specific bus pamphlet I needed, said 'thank you' and walked away. These days, GROWN MEN want to pick fights with women over anything just to get attention. I should have just directed him to the unemployment line everyone seems to think is the answer via a phone call to his superior for harassment and verbal assault (which it wasn't, but if Susan Cooper can do it, SO CAN I). It's funny because the TSA wears the exact same thing and so do medical professionals (along with masks in acute settings, which obviously most of these fools are not in, but according to them, breathing regular air will now kill them). Moreover, I'm almost certain a piece of cloth handcrafted in your living room will do nothing to keep the "deadliest virus ever in the entire universe since the beginning of time" from infecting you. People have lost their damn minds and I'm just now finding out that the "cure" for all the madness is some sort of injection that might not ever come or might not even be completely effective. Where are the real men with guns already? Are real men even a thing anymore or did they all die off from fear of the flu? We're all waiting.

I've finally figured out that the perfect way to break in stiff leather boots is to wear them when it's over 90 degrees outside. I'm so happy I can finally walk around in these Ganni cowboy boots blister-free because I've been wanting to conform to the new 'shoot first ask questions later' vibe that's been going around lately.
