Aside from deeply discounted shopping, another thing to look forward to around the holidays are the visual displays of Christmas cheer. I've always found Christmas lights absolutely delightful despite never being particularly enthusiastic about getting festive (it's the whole socializing/family part that drags me down)...

This is me around some Christmas cheer. |
Anyway, here are some lit up houses and lawns worthy of note:
Super cute and to the point; this probably took only 20 minutes, but I dig it. |
Okay, so another 20-minute display (probably way less actually) HOWEVER, blue holiday lights are so underrated. |
Cute and quaint...dem snowflakes iz errythang doe... |
This was so freaking classy and even though it was super simple, I feel like it took a bit longer than 20 minutes. |
...more classy decorations... |
The reindeer going up the side was what got my attention, so cuuuuuuute! |
These are my top three picks for the most luminous Christmas cheer in my 'hood:
Third Place:
Definitely above average; the festive drama was very clear with this one.
EVERY SINGLE TWIG on that lawn was DRESSED. |
Second Place:
They put a lot of thought into the placement of each decoration and the details were so charming.
I love the repetition of the stars on the little tree on the right and on the house itself; 'twas a very well-balanced design. |
First Place:
They took it to another level and gave me so much life...
The front of the house was absolutely adorable; I thought the 'peace' sign on the garage was great. |
...and the backyard was really something else... |
This is like, the essence of Christmas right here; the peep window design of the fence was perfectly utilized. |
This is the best use of lit up reindeer--EVER. |
I hope each one of you reading this likes your family enough to have a wonderful holiday season.
merry christmas ^.^
