The Last Pair

Okay, obviously not actually the LAST pair, but the plan is to stop spending so much money on shoes so I can save up for my I-Finally-Have-My-Shit-Together Life.

It was kind of difficult to figure out what style the last pair would be, but after taking inventory of my collection, and of course the current trends, I realized I could use a bit more lady-like flare...

...the box was actually very small-that figures because the shoes are super dainty or whatever.

Solestruck shading me though...

I've never had them put food in there before. I didn't eat it, but I appreciated the gesture.

...I wish.

They're currently sitting in this rather heavy duty dust bag...

The first thing I focused on was that heel; perspex or acrylic heels are definitely some new hotness that I'm here for.

QUALITY.

I thought the bow was adorable...

The tension buckles keeping the straps on were a bit tricky at first, but I don't think they'll cause any problems. I only need to undo the top one to slip my foot in and out.

...close up on that magnificent heel.

I think they look fabulous with socks, but I've definitely been shaping up my toes so I can wear them bare-the brown is the perfect nude color against my skin tone.

You can view all my other shoe unboxings on my Tumblr...there will never be enough.

Shoe Unboxing and Review | BDG Quarter-Strap High-Top Wedge-Sneaker

As I previously stated, efforts to secure POTUS Barack Obama's re-election was the only reason I ordered these shoes and I was very pleased to have them arrive within 48 hours of me placing the order on Election Day.
The people at Urban Outfitters get right to the point when it comes to packaging; when I cut open the bag, all I got was some shoes in a box. No dust jackets. No shape stuffing. None of that extra shit. I didn't mind at all.
In addition to suede leather details, the interior is lined with canvas which is used in numerous U.O. pieces.
I walked around the house in them to find the 3.5-inch incline pretty comfy along with a fair amount of traction from the rubber sole. My only complaint is that I wish the ball of the foot had a bit more padding, but I'm not sure if that will be a factor after walking around in them for a full day.
Overall, I think Urban Outfitters did an excellent job designing a quality shoe instead of just a straight up Bekket high-top knockoff. Moreover, the Chinese did a really good job in the construction so I definitely see myself wearing these over-hyphenated shoes for many seasons to come.
