I came up with this design when I was removing the gold polish from my previous nail art look and I noticed the gold faded into silver before it wore away completely with nail polish remover. I love ombre anything so I thought I should try gold to silver ombre nails. If I had done two coats of gold or maybe just been more careful fading out the color, I would have skipped the glitter, but I think it ended up adding an interesting dimension to the design.
I definitely think metallic accents like this look great against a fall color palette.
