more beauty stuff...reviewed, replaced and repurchased

Okay first of all L'Oreal is kind of killing it with these new matte lip glosses; my extended first impressions review:
  • they are NOT non-transferable like my fave by Stila, but like, they're cheap so I don't even care...?
  • they are actually somewhat moisturizing, I have worn them without the traditional chapstick primer and they did not dry out my lips at all.
  • they don't curdle up when reapplied, which is a problem with a lot of other matte lippies; the formula blends so well with more of a satin matte finish.
  • the colors I selected (blushing ambition #300, bare attraction #318, nude allude #314) are all pretty legit opacity-wise and buildable.
I also finally replaced that shitty Mac powder brush that would not stop shedding. I was using it to apply one of my highlighter powders (the Becca champagne pop one literally EVERYONE has), the brush fibers are so useless even for a simple tap tap of shimmer. Anyway, Real Techniques is one of the best brands in the business as far as I'm concerned and this blush brush is the perfect replacement. Additionally, I finally checked out Wet 'n Wild's make up brush offerings after seeing them on Tumblr, I made some safe picks with a concealer brush and an eye shadow brush.

Nail Art and Review | L'Oreal Colour Riche Gold Dust Nail Color

image

It's been a minute since I last discussed what's going on with those thin slivers of exposed bone on my digits. Many bottles have been purchased since my last post, most notably, L'Oreal's Gold Dust nail colors that came out late last year, which I still can't get enough of...

pop the bubbles; I like it chunky; the statement piece; rough around the edges

...they have definitely gotten me back into the whole textured trend; I did the following combo for Valentine's Day (black hearts because I'm single Valentine's Day is only good for discount candy).

...I also tried some smooth/textured polish layering for some quirky summer looks:

After falling in love with the first four colors, I later purchased a couple more from the line so I can stay about my sparkle for the rest of the season...

The consistency is really awesome and the color and texture variation in each polish makes them look great on their own or as a spunky accent to a regular smooth finish polish. Like most textured polishes, they dry super fast, but they resist chipping and some of the colors have a natural sheen (diamond, statement and pop the bubbles). Overall, they're definitely one of the more exciting nail polish purchases I've made this season and I will definitely be rocking them as a default nail look this summer.

Nail Art | BAWITNEE LINN WANTZ DA KROWNN!!!!

This look was inspired by my new obsession with "Toddlers and Tiaras", which should explain the slight tackiness. I've spent nights watching videos of the Southern rachetness on YouTube...there's something blatantly disturbing about how little girls are being conditioned to attach their self-worth to their appearance, but I must say there's nothing wrong with training a young woman to want to be number one.
