Maybe becoming a führer was her plan all along? I think most people falsely believe femaleness is automatically devoid of such desires...I've heard some say this is about safety maybe because she's a mother? Every single mother on earth is perfect and knows exactly what to do all the time, right?

There is no safety in poverty however. Being poor is actually the most dangerous thing to be in America. People who have nothing to lose will destroy others and then themselves...as we can see in the streets across the nation, whether it's being reported or not.

So if the Indian cop and her mush-mouthed invalid gets it, what does that mean for us normal, God-fearing humans? Everything the so-called conspiracy theorists have stated has turned out to be either true or plausible (which is doing WONDERSSS for my sleep cycle like who needs to conjure up a nightmare when you can click and scroll?!). Moreover, it's gotten to the point where too many people are approaching things with their eyes wide open...because they didn't die and they know as long as they don't go to the hospital they won't die.

I can see this scenario: "Well I think at this point we have done more than enough to ensure the safety of people against the virus and the only masks I want to see are for Halloween!" Why? Because it's just before the cure--I mean election--so why not look like you actually did something to influence people's decisions at the polls...my pessimistic, apathetic guess is that we won't have a final decision until next year anyway...and by then everything will be burned away.

My love for Margiela tabi flats is UNREQUITED *sad face*.

After only 20 minutes of wear, I got one of the worst blisters ever on my right heel that exploded while I was trying to push through the pain without any padding to prevent the back from rubbing against my boney Achilles. I had to wear backless shoes for a moment and keep some bandages on for a few days while the blister finally sealed. Additionally, my left big toe currently looks like the 'before' in those grotesque Russian manicure videos...I now have to put lots of glitter in my polish when I do my pedicures so I can cover up the injury.

Despite this struggle, the diehard masochist fashionista in me decided to give the tabi another try and this time I went with a gorgeous magenta pair in satin. They are lined in leather, but the satin makes them super soft and gentle on my feet. Even though the color is bit jarring, they actually go with pretty much everything I wear. The old tabis have now become decor, which is what I thought they could be when I first saw them online. It's not the first Margiela piece I wanted for display however, I almost purchased this:

...before I found my cute little sheep statue, I was soooo close to getting this bag I saw in the clearance section on Farfetch; I really love white shearling decor and I thought this quirky Margiela satchel would have been perfect. I'm definitely one of those people that believes fashion doesn't always have to be wearable to be appreciated.

first day out

I heard they're only letting people out for one hour a day some places...that's actually a bit much for me considering I stay in sloth mode 24/7.

Anyway, a brisk walk down the block and back was all I needed, mostly to break in these MM6 sock sneakers I've only worn once before and see how the only piece of knitwear I've bought in the past five years holds up against the chill. Coach 1941 has really been killing it lately and this quirky cardigan did not disappoint; I'll be waiting patiently for any further corona sales from them.

I've always wanted a pair of MMM tabi shoes and I'll admit, because of the unique toe box design I was hesitant to take the plunge...but Matchesfashion had a sale I couldn't pass up. After debating between these and and a couple other pairs in their sale, I decided this unique take on distressed leather was for me. I love distressed fashion because it's a cornerstone of my homeless-chic aesthetic and these shoes are absolutely ethereal in person despite being deliberately busted. 

Even though it goes against advice, I've always been keen on getting my leather shoes wet to get the material to loosen up and form to my foot easier. I wonder if the white paint will create some sort of varnish on the black leather if it dampens? I'll have to take a stroll in the upcoming rainy spring weather and find out.

I was scrolling Net-a-porter's new section and this luscious wool coat caught my eye....so is Demna back at Margiela because this cut looks awfully familiar. 

Like I care though...

 

 I already told you so like, let's just open it up and enjoy without the guilt...

 ...the open toe area is wider than what I'm used to, exposing four toes instead of just three so it's actually super comfy, no blisters...

....and the 2.75 inch block heel feels like a wedge.

 

 ...they're my forth pair of Margielas and now my favorites.

 

 I decided to style them with a dress I bought two years ago and never wore...I feel like this outfit makes me look like I actually give a shit about people's opinions or something...

 ...so prim and proper--this dress was doing the most especially considering the crochet trend is so passé.

 

...it got a little breezy later in the day so I put some pants on (by Acne); even more considerate.

...okay the spending ban is back on so let's pretend this never happened.

 

2015 spring style round up

...the results of my attempt at being minimalist luxe--you can kind of see it given the neutral colors and the repetition of some of my favorite pieces including my Simone Rocha shearling bag, my Eugina Kim alpaca hat and so much Acne Studios I deserve a sponsorship.
